  • FUTURISTIC AND FUNCTIONAL

Aesthetic appeal, business and comfort have always been at the heart of the offering from Rimini’s Exhibition Centre, a top location for the tourism, environment, wellness and food & beverage sectors. The centre has a “green” calling, which it pursues through care for the ecosystem, respect for the environment and its eco-friendly philosophy. Functionality and efficiency, combined with Renaissance-inspired aesthetics, are also strengths and draws for buyers and exhibitors from all over the world.
Designed by the GMP Practice in Hamburg, it occupies a total area of 460 thousand square metres: 169,000 square metres of usable space, 109,000 of gross exhibition space, 16 single-level halls, air-conditioned with blackout capability, reception, technical and service areas, modular conference rooms for up to 730 seats, a functional and technical operations centre, a press room with national radio and television transmission centre, restaurants, self-service, snack bars, 11,000 car parking service and a helipad with bookable heli-taxi service.
The Centre is laid out on a single level and is fully cabled. There are three different entrances interconnected by shuttle bus so that visitors can visit more than one exhibition at a time.

Rimini Fiera has UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 certification: the exhibition centre (recipient of the prestigious international ELCA ‘Building with Green’ award in Nuremberg) operates completely according to the principle of low environmental impact, with internal and external green areas, extending over 160,000 m², more than 1500 plants and 30,000 m² of lawn.
Photovoltaic systems throughout the centre, in all the halls, over a total surface of no fewer than 115,000 m². To air condition the centre, a system that generates cold at night-time and provides cooling during the day (a kind of “ice bank”) and for heating there’s a system with condensing boilers.
The wood that dominates the centre’s architecture comes from responsibly managed Scandinavian forests.
Lighting is predominantly natural; areas with constant artificial lighting use LED technology for the most part. The fountains all recirculate water, with the periodically changed water from the centre’s fountains and ponds being treated and reused to irrigate the green areas. The toilets in the centre features controlled-pressure jets of water.
There are many reuse and recycling centres throughout the centre for differentiating waste produced by visitors.
The main-line railway station at the entrance to the centre alleviates the impact of traffic on the environment.
